Genge rapper and one of the pioneers of urban Kenyan music Hubert Nakitare alias Nonini has been taken to court to answer to charges of causing bodily harm to one Steve Kihuyu who is listed as the plaintiff.
According to court documents Nonini is listed as a second defendant in the matter that revolves around an accident along Limuru road on 11th July this year. It’s alleged that Nonini car hit a motorcycle rider but it was the rapper’s driver Peter Chege who was behind the wheels.
“On the 11th day of July, 2017 along Nairobi – Limuru road, the plaintiff was lawfully riding motor cycle registration number KMEA 934F when the first defendant with the authority and in the course of his employment to the second defendant, so negligently, drove, managed and/or controlled motor vehicle registration number KCA 034V that he caused and/or permitted it to lose control and hit motor cycle registration number KMEA 934F from behind as a result the plaintiff sustained several bodily injuries, endured and continues to endure pain and has suffered loss and damages,” a court document read in part.
According to the details, the man suffered deep vertical cut wound on his face and sustained blunt injuries on his chest and back as well as compound fractures on his left tibia.
The plaintiff want to be paid damages amounting to Sh8,550 as well as the cost of the suit.
