Former Citizen TV anchor Kirigo Ng’arua has announced her comeback on the screen months after she was fired by the Royal Media house owned station. Kirogo was sent home during a retrenchment exercise that affected over 100 colleagues of hers including business anchor Terryanne Chebet.
In a social media post Kirigo announced he hew show dubbed ‘The Girlfriends Table’ which will feature a bunch of women sitting down and discussing topical issues involving the female gender.
“The Girlfriends Table..A table where women from different walks of life will regularly sit down and share their stories remembering to keep it real and raw… It’s time we embraced womanhood with all that it comes with. It’s time to share stories on successes and challenges of being a woman…” her post read.
“It’s time to change the stereotypes about the woman…it’s time to truly enjoy being in this zone hoping that it will be a source of hope and inspiration to the women who will listen as we pick each other up…” she added.
Some of the women expected to feature on the new show include, C.E.O of SuzieBeauty, Suzie Wokabi, former TV anchor, Janet Mbugua, Award winning singer Kambua among others.
It is not yet official in which station the show will be airing.
